PUBLIC HEARING FEBRUARY 19, 2024
The Nederland Independent School District's Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) for the 2022-2023 academic year will be discussed during the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees on February 19, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Nederland ISD Board Room. 220 17th Street, Nederland, Texas. The TAPR Report portion of the meeting will be a Public Hearing. Copies of the report will be available to the general public upon request.

El Informe de Rendimiento Académico de Texas (TAPR, por sus siglas en inglés) del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Nederland para el año académico 2022-2023 se analizará durante la reunión regular de la Junta de Síndicos el 19 de Febrero de 2024, a las 6:00 p.m. en la sala de juntas en el edifio administrativa ubicada en 220 17th Street, Nederland, Texas. Nederland ISD will be offering FULL DAY Pre-Kindergarten for qualifying 4-year-old children for the 2024-2025 school year.
To be eligible for enrollment in a Pre-Kindergarten class, a child must be four years of age on or before September 1, 2024, and must meet one of the following requirements:
- is unable to speak and comprehend the English language
- is educationally disadvantaged
- is homeless
- is the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States
- is the child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty
- is or has ever been in the conservatorship of the Texas DFPS (foster care)
- is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award such as a peace officer, a firefighter, or an emergency medical first responder

Nominations for the Nederland Independent School District Challenge Program (GT) are being accepted for students who will be in kindergarten through 8th grade during the 2023-2024 academic school year. This program is specifically designed to serve students who demonstrate a potential for giftedness. Information about the Challenge Program and the form for nominating a student is available on the Nederland ISD website. All nominations must be submitted online between December 4, 2023, and January 12, 2024. For more information, please contact the campus administration.
