Nederland ISD will be offering FULL DAY Pre-Kindergarten for qualifying 4-year-old children for the 2024-2025 school year.

To be eligible for enrollment in a Pre-Kindergarten class, a child must be four years of age on or before September 1, 2024, and must meet one of the following requirements:

• is unable to speak and comprehend the English language
• is educationally disadvantaged
• is homeless
• is the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States
• is the child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty
• is or has ever been in the conservatorship of the Texas DFPS (foster care)
• is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award such as a peace officer, a firefighter, or an emergency medical first responder

Weather Alert Update

Nederland ISD has been actively monitoring the weather forecast for the upcoming days in conjunction with the National Weather Service.

Nominations for the Nederland Independent School District Challenge Program (GT) are being accepted for students who will be in kindergarten through 8^th grade during the 2023-2024 academic school year. This program is specifically designed to serve students who demonstrate a potential for giftedness.  Information about the Challenge Program and the form for nominating a student is available on the Nederland ISD website.  All nominations must be submitted online between December 4, 2023, and January 12, 2024.
