As a junior, the following dual credit classes are offered:

• English Composition (ENGL 1301 and 1302)
• U.S. History (HIST 1301 and 1302)
• Chemistry (CHEM 1411) *This course requires students to take college algebra over the summer at Lamar State College Port Arthur as a prerequisite.
• Cosmetology (CSME 1310, 1401, 1453, 2202) *This program requires transportation to Lamar State College Port Arthur every day. 
• Welding
• HVAC *This program requires transportation to Lamar State College Port Arthur

Dual Credit Informational Meeting - There will be an informational meeting in the NHS cafeteria for students and parents February 27th

GoApplyTexas Meeting

Any student taking dual credit classes next year must complete an application to LSCPA through ApplyTexas. This can be done at the following website: https://goapplytexas.org/.  There will be a meeting next semester in the PAC to help with completing the application. 

TSIA2 

Any student wanting to take dual credit English Composition, U.S. History or Chemistry must meet a SAT, PSAT, ACT or TSIA2 requirement. These are all assessments that show college readiness. The TSIA2 will be offered on campus in the spring.
